| hmm... i have doubts about the 'splitwave'. I've seen homemade designs like this before. I guess it might work, but highly doubt it is as efficient or controllable as the Tbar design....but who knows.
I looked around for a video though, and couldn't find it.

| No splitwawe video on the web. What does that mean ? Let's speculate a bit: either the result has to be hidden to protect the development of the material because it is awesome, either there is not much to show. I wonder... Very curious.I guess that Spliwave is going to announce on the forum any updates on their site Has anyone on the forum any connection with the company ? | |

| Here's another theory guys... The synapse team have won a grant of some 10,000 (12,500 Eu) Sterling for the development of this board - not a huge amount of money but it pays the fuel to get to the beach for a while!
Sorry to be cynical... Strange how the site only sells T-Shirts at present no kite board products and the foil board patent was applied for in 2007. I question as does Laurent on this one, no video on the web, no recent web site update so is it really going anywhere?
Can anyone out there let us know otherwise??

| One last possibility : they actually built a prototype but the latter didn't really deliver. There often is a huge gap between the drawing board and reality. Or else it needs a lot of tweaking and that's what they're at (silently). ? | |

| Let's speculate even further. Imagine that this foil geometry they have choosen is not faster than an average twin-tip, needs as much wind as a twin-tip does etc etc... The expected result has to bring something better than a twin-tip.
For a comparison: The Carafino shape needs less wind then a directionnal, is going upwind like hell, makes no noise at all, is so funny to glide (or fly) on.
But I may be wrong and they will produce an interesting solution.
