| Hi Sam, just go to this post box at the foot of the page and type whatever text you wish to include then click on the 'host image' icon - 6th icon from the left. a window opens and you navigate to the image on your PC click host it and a series of options become available - aaaaghhh I then click copy on the right hand side and then click upload - to close the window click the icon that you started with above and the hosting window closes. then paste your image link that you copied below https://i.servimg.com/u/f47/13/17/51/33/latest10.jpg and hey presto you should have an image in your post Ok I got that one wrong !!! This just puts a link to your image To have the image in your post you have to copy the image link - middle string of characters not the bottom one as I did above... | |

| Chris and jm33 Thank you for info. Chris at least I got to see your latest work, looks fast, thin and wide wings with strut closer to fuselage nose ie. center if lift I would think. Also maybe meaning you can attach strut to board more forward, more centered between feet, ie. less front foot lever force. I give up trying to post photos, no big deal, I see I am way behind all of you builders anyway! Chris I see what I think is number 11 when I look at your latest "T" and wings, does this mean you have more photos you are willing to share? I am really pondering the compromise between speed (also better super low wind) and rideability. The" faster foils" to coin a phrase, seem sensitive and much harder to turn? Off to hand file my fuselage and strut. Sam | |

| Sam, I'm working on ideas that I hope will be much more advanced than this photo but at present nothing else to post. This foil image dates back to mid 2010... so it's somewhat dated now. It turns really sweet and the V shaped rear wing has lots of advantages in that it is forgiving allowing the rider to make body weight shift errors that do not get instantly punished like some foils. The rear foil also has a certain amount of flex that helps in making the ride less critical to rider input. | |

| Hi again Chris, I wish you good luck with your latest and greatest foil board project! You answered a question I have always wondered about, that being rear wing flex. I was ready even right now to stiffen my rear wing, but I will wait until I test it in spring! And the Thin flat "V" rear wing is interesting and easy to make, I hope you do not mind if I copy to test? Sam | |

| the V rear stab has a nice profile too I remember, not so thin that you think when you look at the pix. | |

| Yes no problem Sam you can make it exactly the same - remember it has a symmetrical profile (nothing NACA specific) but it's circa 6/7mm at its thickest point and obviously tapers towards the tips allowing the flex. Not easy to keep the thickest part of the chord at 25% though towards the tips....
Happy shaping ;o) | |

| Laurent and Chris, Thanks to both of you (first, for your time to keep this fantastic forum going) and specific info. Laurent you are correct from the photos that rear wing does not look thick. And Chris for measures! Bummer more work than I thought! Oh well to cold to ride and all I think of are 2012 sessions, so off to the workshop. Again Thank you Sam | |
