Hi Orwell, I know quite a few people who have learnt on Zeeko carbon foils - this model and even on previous versions that were much more unforgiving however, at that time the choice of foils was much more limited. I do not want to sound like a hard sales man because that is far from what I am.
As I said in the advert above if I wasn't riding with Ketos - I certainly would not be selling it because it's a fantastic foil and at this price it really is a good-deal.
In direct response to your question - I think it would only be faire to reply like this:
Yes you could learn on it without any shadow of a doubt, the 2015 model is much more forgiving than the previous Zeeko foils - that's my personal opinion.
But it could be argued that there are simpler less performance rated foils that you may find easier to ride in the early stages. But you may outgrow one of these low aspect ratio foils quickly, depending upon how frequently you ride and your ability level, then you'll be in the situation where you have to sell it on to purchase another foil that fits your requirement.
This set up is Free-Ride so it's the largest & easiest wing to ride, if I'm not mistaken, that Zeeko produce. The smaller the wings become, the faster the top speed but all your manœuvres have to be executed expertly otherwise your off the foil & swimming.
